What is a German Certified Master Goldsmith?
The distinction of "Master Goldsmith" is the highest level that one can receive in the Goldsmithing trade and a distinction not offered anywhere else in the world other than central Europe. While some people trained in the United States may claim to be a "Master" in the jewelry industry this title is not protected by law here in the US. So unless one received their title of "Master Goldsmith" from a certified school in Central Europe the claim does not represent the extensive training and testing required to receive the "Certified Master Goldsmith" designation.
